Variation of conus medullaris location based on magnetic resonance imaging of the lumbar spine in Indonesia: A study at Dr Soetomo General Academic Hospital, Surabaya, Indonesia

Introduction: Recognition of conus medullaris position, contains lumbosacral plexuses which supply motor and sensory innervation to the whole lower limb, pelvic perineal areas, is critical avoid injury due lumbar procedures, such as spinal anesthesia punctures. This study aimed investigate position among Indonesians through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) spine at Dr. Soetomo General Academic Hospital in order minimize risk trauma. Methods: A retrospective was conducted level its correlation gender age Indonesian patients. The data were collected from MRI Dr during January 2020 December 2021. variations recorded determined highest, lowest most common location descriptively. Results: total 257 patients (126 male 131 female) included. highest T11-T12 vertebrae (five patients).
